Roder Jongenskoor

General Information

Het Roder Jongenskoor werd in 1985 door koorleider Bouwe Dijkstra opgericht. Zijn belangrijkste doel was een jongenskoor te vormen naar Engels voorbeeld, met als repertoir de Engelse koormuziek in breedste zin. Het Roder Jongenskoor wordt alom geprezen om de consequente Engelse koorstijl die het voert, niet alleen wat betreft grootte en stembezetting, maar ook in de sterkte aandacht voor de stemkwaliteit van de individuele jongens en jongemannen. Het Roder Jongenskoor kiest in al zijn facetten voor een muzikale aanpak die bij de Engelse jongenskoren leidt tot het beroemde hoge niveau van muziekmaken. Het koor staat nu onder leiding van Rintje te Wies.
